METALLIC INKS

Metallic inks give a rich, chrome-like shine to the print area, and can be used in tandem with regular inks to add interest to any design. Metallic inks look great on light and dark shirts, and come in a variety of colors including gold, silver, copper, red, blue, green, purple, and black.

Recommendations: When it comes to line work, metallics work best with designs of low to medium complexity, in order for the glittery particles to be pushed through the screen effectively.

INK BLENDS

Ink blends can be used to turn a one screen, one color design into a multiple color design. Two or three colors of inks are combined in the screen to create a vertical rainbow of color. Use a blend to make every shirt in your run unique, with different ratios of color appearing in the design. Every print is unique!

Recommendations: Blends look best with colors which significantly contrast each other. Using more than 3 colors in a blend may cause more variance in the print.

DISCHARGE INKS

Discharge inks are a great way to achieve bright colors on dark garments with a super soft hand. Discharge inks are waterbased; they essentially bleach out the shirt color and replace the print area with a new color. Because the prints are worked into the fabric as opposed to just sitting on top, they are colorfast and durable while leaving the least detectable texture compared to other inks.

Recommendations: Discharge inks look great on dark shirt colors.
